The President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades is expected to address the people on Tuesday regarding his proposal for a decentralized federation as a form of settlement.
Instead of 12.00 noon, the President’s press conference was set for 19.30 local time (15.30 GMT), at the Cabinet room.
President Anastasiades is expected to refer to his proposal for a decentralized federation, in the presence of media representatives from TV stations, newspapers and the Cyprus News Agency.
On November 12, the National Council is set to meet anew. Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou had said that the President is expected to inform the members of the top advisory body on the Cyprus issue regarding his meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci on October 26 and with the envoy of the UN Secretary-General Jane Holl Lute, last Wednesday.
