Average pay up in June; Greece

The average daily wage was 50.34 euros for full-time insured workers while the average monthly salary was 1,147 euros in June, with average daily wage and average monthly salary at 24.98 euros and 399.36 euros, respectively, for part-time workers, official figures showed on Tuesday.
The figures showed that men accounted for 53.24 pct of all workers employed in all categories of enterprises and 52.53 pct in common enterprises. Men accounted 55.9 pct of all full-time workers in common enterprises and 45.44 pct of part-time workers.
Greek citizens accounted for 88.38 pct of insured workers, 2.14 pct were other EU citizens and 9.48 pct citizens of third countries. A 20.60 pct of insured workers are employed in the hotel-restaurant business, 19.86 pct in retail/wholesale and 11.75 pct in manufacturing industries.
The number of insured workers in common enterprises rose 3.09 pct in June compared with May 2019, it was up 1.71 pct in the construction sector and rose 3.07 pct in all enterprises. The average daily wage was down 0.07 pct in this period, while the average monthly salary in common enterprises fell 1.57 pct in the month. In comparison with June 2018, the number of insured workers rose 7.14 pct in common enterprises, increased by 6.34 pct in construction and rose 7.12 pct in all enterprises, while average day wage rose 3.56 pct and average monthly salary was up 3.23 pct.
