A wildfire that broke out on Tuesday at Prodromos, near the central Greek city of Thebes, is heading to sea but is not threatening residential areas.
The fire had two fronts, with one placed under control and the second one burning mostly dry grass. The latter is moving towards the beach of Sarantis at the Corinthian Gulf.
The vice governor of Sterea Ellada Thanassis Karakantzas said earlier it was hard to control the blaze because of the strong winds.
According to the latest information, the firefighting craft have left while the remaining land forces are trying to put it out.
