Voridis to participate in EU Council of Agriculture Ministers

Minister of Rural Development and Food Makis Voridis will participate in the Council of Agriculture Ministers of the European Union on Monday, in Brussels.
The minister will be accompanied by Deputy Minister Kostas Skrekas and secretary general Charalambos Kassimis.
The main topics to be discussed by the Council are the three drafts of the CAP 2020-2027 Regulations presented by European Commissioner for Agriculture, Phil Hogan, on the strategic plan, financial management and the Common Market Organisation (CMO).
Discussions also include issues related to sugar, African swine fever, animal welfare during their transport in summer months, integrated crop management, and the conclusions of the third meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the African Union and the EU, held on 21 June 2019.
